After ranking nine store-bought naans from worst to best, Tasting Table came back to the one that finished first. Of everything they tasted, Truly Indian Tikka Masala Naan was the best store-bought naan on the market.
The naan is vegan and made in India, with no artificial flavors. It heats in the oven, air fryer, pan, or microwave, and it comes finished with a spiced tikka masala sauce. Tasting Table’s critic had expected Truly Indian garlic naan — second in that ranking, for its garlic flavor and moist texture — to be the one that was hard to beat. The tikka masala changed that. Their tester said: “This is a product I never knew I was looking for, but now that I’ve tasted it, it might just be one of my all-time favorite frozen food products.”
The sauce is what sets it apart
It has the same soft, squishy bite as Truly Indian’s other naans. The difference is a noticeable, not heavy, spread of sauce. Tasting Table’s critic wrote that the sauce brings a rich, earthy flavor without covering up the bread, and that the texture stayed consistent through the last bite. They also noted it is less of an all-purpose flatbread than a plain naan, and still called the idea worth celebrating: a clever way to make frozen naan.
The same Tikka Masala Naan was named overall winner in the Breads and Bakery category of the 2026 NEXTY Awards. Read the full story on Tasting Table.
